Kate Middleton looks sharp in white suit at Rugby World Cup 2023

She’s showing her team spirit in style.

Kate Middleton traveled to Marseille, France to attend the 2023 Rugby World Cup on Saturday, wearing a white Alexander McQueen trouser suit as she cheered the English team on to victory against Argentina.

The Princess of Wales, 41 — who serves as patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League — sported one of the team’s colors as she sat in the stands, bringing back the white Alexander McQueen blazer ($2,390) and wide-legged pants she wore to a Windrush Day event in June 2022.

The royal rugby fan accessorized with her often-worn Mappin and Webb Empress necklace ($1,880, was $2,820) and matching earrings ($4,701) along with a woven white clutch by Massimo Dutti, wearing her hair down in soft waves.

Middleton congratulated players in the locker room after their victory.

“Well done @EnglandRugby! A great start to the tournament and so looking forward to following your progress in #RWC2023 🌹,” the princess captioned a carousel of Instagram photos celebrating the team’s win.

The princess— who honored the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death by wearing the late monarch’s earrings on Friday — certainly loves a white suit moment, having first worn her Alexander McQueen blazer during a tour of Jamaica last spring with a slimmer-legged pair of trousers.

She’s such a fan of the look that she also owns the same jacket in a softer ivory shade ($2,390), which she wore to launch her Business Taskforce for Early Childhood in March.

Meanwhile, Prince William, 41, who serves as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, attended Sunday’s match to watch Wales win against Fiji.

The rugby patron looked nervous at one point during the game as she reacted to the action.

The pair also shared their love of rugby and other sports during a special episode of “The Good the Bad and the Rugby” podcast on Saturday, which is co-hosted by Princess Anne’s son-in-law, Zara Tindall’s husband, Mike Tindall.

The princess, who repeated a Catherine Walker check blazer and sky-high Hugo Boss heels with navy pants for the taping, joked about her famously competitive sports rivalry with her husband during the candid episode.

“I don’t know where this has come from,” she said with a laugh, even confessing that she’s never “actually been able to finish a game of tennis” with her husband as it “becomes a mental challenge between the two of us.”

At least when it comes to fashion, this princess always comes out on top.
