Kyle Richards says a ‘stupid picture’ led to attacks on her marriage

Kyle Richards revealed that a paparazzi photo led to several of her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars questioning her marriage.

“It started all from a stupid picture of me without a ring on,” Richards exclusively told Page Six at an event for the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the Fleur Room in West Hollywood Tuesday.

The “RHOBH” OG explained that her reason for not wearing the massive rock from husband Mauricio Umansky was two-fold.

“A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable,'” she began. “And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’ I don’t know.”

Richards, 54, was most likely referring to a photo that was taken of her in February leaving the gym — sans her wedding ring — in blue leggings, a black tank and sneakers.

The Bravolebrity dished that both she and Umansky, 52, are staying “unbothered,” despite having previously “struggled” when her co-stars brought up their marriage in the past.

Richards confessed that in the past, she was “devastated” when anyone would spread rumors about her marriage.

“When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated,” Richards reflected. “But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.'”

Despite knowing the truth of their relationship, Richards admitted that she still has to prepare for the fallout when it airs in a few months.

Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’

“Obviously, you don’t love that because when the show airs in six months, I will be dealing with this and people are going to be talking again and more fake stories and lies. It’s just really frustrating.”

Umansky previously teased the “rumblings” on an April 10 episode of the “Two Ts in a Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge” podcast.

The Bravolebrity says it’ll be “frustrating” to relive the rumors when Season 13 of the hit Bravo show airs in the upcoming months.

Umansky — who’s been married to Richards since 1996 — dubbed the chatter “dumb.”

“We’re not getting divorced. … I mean, it’s so dumb,” he said. “[There’s] that one stupid story that came out there and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the ‘Housewives,’ and so now it’s a storyline.”

The “Dealmaker” author shared that viewers will see him and his wife “address” the chatter. “It is what it is,” he added.

Richards and Umansky have been married since 1996 — marking one of the longest marriages on the “Real Housewives” franchise.

Richards pushed past the drama to host her friends for an event raising awareness for mental health on Tuesday.

They share daughters Alexia, 26, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. The “Halloween Ends” actress also has daughter Farrah, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.

Richards hosted the event for NAMI — sponsored in part by Neuro Drinks — to raise awareness for mental health and pay tribute to her best friend, Lorene Shea, who died by suicide after a battle with mental illness last May.

“I wanted to honor her and bring everyone together here tonight and raise awareness and funds because I really want people to know that there is help out there,” she told us.
