Lisa Rinna reflects on relentless work ethic as she launches line of ‘versatile’ lip Thick Sticks

Lisa Rinna was tired of using multiple products to perfect her famous pout, so she created her own.

On Tuesday, the Rinna Beauty founder launched a line of Thick Sticks ($20): a thick lip crayon that provides the precision of a lip liner with the finish of a lipstick.

The time- and money-saving makeup essential comes in five shades — Cake, Rich, Luxe, Happy Hour and Bellini — and won’t dry out your lips.

“I was really excited about these because they’re just so versatile and they’re so easy, and I love the five colors that we launched with, and I’m looking forward to adding new colors as we go along,” Rinna, 60, told Page Six Style in an exclusive interview Tuesday, adding that her current favorites are Cake and Rich because she “love[s] a nudie neutral.”

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum felt there was “a hole in the market” when it came to a quality lip product that not only provides long-lasting color and hydration but is also “clean,” “vegan,” “not tested on animals” and “inclusive.”

“I was really excited about these because they’re just so versatile and they’re so easy,” she gushed.

“Anybody can wear it — men, women, children, pets,” she said with a laugh.

Rinna has been a jack of all trades since she stepped foot into stardom, as her decades-long career has spanned multiple platforms including modeling, acting, sales and reality television.

But something about creating her own beauty brand really gets Rinna going — and has been somewhat of a family affair.

With two daughters who have followed in her fashion footsteps, Rinna told us her makeup company has only made her relationships with Delilah Hamlin, 25, and Amelia Hamlin, 22 — who each designed their own Rinna Beauty lip kits last year — that much stronger.

“I think they see how hard I work and how passionate I am and how hands-on I am,” the former “Days of Our Lives” star shared. “I think it’s always so important to show your kids, not necessarily tell your kids, but show your kids what you’re about.”

“You have to really work hard, and you really have to show up,” she continued, making sure to note that she and her husband, Harry Hamlin, have always taught their girls “that the most important thing is being kind to everyone.”

Rinna — who launched her business at 57 years old in the middle of a global pandemic — plans to continue her lessons in hard work and dedication, as she has no desire to slow down or retire.

“It’s just in my DNA. I would be bored! What would I do with myself? No, no, no. I have to create constantly. And I don’t box myself in. I allow myself to create things that I might not ever even think I would be able to create,” she told us.

“People know I’m a hustler. They don’t question that. They may question other s–t,” she quipped, “but they don’t question my work ethic.”

The QVC maven credits Harry, 72, with being not only a supportive sounding board when it comes to business ideas but also a good sport when it comes to modeling her products.

Though Delilah and Amelia have shot many successful Rinna Beauty campaigns, their mother told us her secret to success is actually her spouse of over 26 years.

“I swear to God, Harry is our biggest pull,” Rinna revealed. “Recently, we came out with this Dryp Tease Dry Oil Body Spray ($28) that has fragrance in it. And so I handed it to him, and he sprayed it on his legs and put it on his face a little bit. I mean, it’s now become the No. 1 Rinna Beauty product.”

“We use him as much as we possibly can,” she added. “He knows we’re using him. We’re fully transparent, and we say, ‘Harry, you just have to do this because you sell more Rinna Beauty than anybody. And he’s like, ‘Fine, OK. What do you need me to do?'”
